Mission
Nutrition
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was instituted to provide nutritious meals to children during the summer months when school is not in session. When school lets out, millions of low-income children lose access to the school breakfasts, lunches and after school snacks and meals they receive during the regular school year. The Summer Nutrition Programs help fill this gap by providing free meals and snacks to children who might otherwise go hungry. The program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is administered by sponsors like us.
